As a Dominican filmmaker, my work is deeply influenced by my heritage and the vibrant Afro-Latino experience.

I have directed two short films, "Secadora" and "Somos de Aquí," both of which reflect my commitment to telling stories that resonate with my community. "Somos de Aquí" has been particularly impactful, winning a prestigious Netflix and LALIFF (Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival) grant. This film had its world premiere at the Los Angeles Latino Film Festival, a milestone that underscored the importance and reach of Afro-Latino narratives in the broader cinematic landscape.

My journey as a filmmaker is driven by a desire to shed light on the unique and diverse stories of Afro-Latinos. Growing up in the Bronx, I witnessed a tapestry of experiences that are often underrepresented in mainstream media. Through my films, I aim to bring these stories to the forefront, celebrating the richness and complexity of our culture.
